Quality at Venture Infotek

Quality at Venture Infotek is driven by its vision of delivering world class and unbeatable service levels which will happen through inculcating (TQM) Total Quality management and continuous improvement culture across the organization.

The strategic model to achieve this is devised and being followed at Venture Infotek as depicted in the picture below. Process performance management system and customer feedback give us opportunities for improvement; these are well taken through six sigma and Kaizen approach for execution. The Quality management system is the foundation to above improvements enabling sustained improvements and uninterrupted growth.

Venture Infotek has inherited a strong quality orientation by achieving milestones viz:

  • ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certification.
  • Accomplished 75 Kaizen projects.
  • Implemented 14 Six-Sigma Projects.
  • CII Recognition Award for one of the Best Kaizen Projects.


ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Venture Infotek received the prestigious certification viz. ISO 9001:2000 quality management system standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification was awarded by one of the leading certification agency viz: Bureau Veritas Certification accredited by UKAS ( United Kingdom accreditation services) quality management system.

The ISO 9001:2000 certification highlights our focus on delivering high quality services and solutions consistently. It will help us to enhance our systems and processes in our constant endeavor to develop and deliver the state of the art solutions to our customers.

The achievement is the result of a corporate wide commitment with strong senior management support and a team effort that could not have been accomplished without exceptional effort from each of our employees. The systems and procedures implemented as part of the ISO 9001 process will provide the foundation to support the company's rapid growth and scale-up of operation.

We have developed a formal quality program and are in process of getting more appropriate certifications for which we have a clearly defined roadmap. We have developed an integrated excellence framework, which integrates the requirements of ISO 20000, ISO 27001. We practice the principles of each of these models to ensure processes are operated in concurrence with the Service Level Agreements.


Continuous Improvement Focus

Streamlined processes, business-conducive culture and appropriate technology are key inputs for improvement success. Identifying improvement areas through diagnosis of processes eliminates the risks of these failures. These processes are diagnosed for improvement identification through a measurement system called Performance Measurement System.

Based on the nature of critical implications on the improvement identification the appropriate methodologies viz: Kaizen, Six Sigma.

A) Kaizen is an approach of making small improvements on a regular basis--always improving productivity, safety and effectiveness, and reducing waste.

This methodology involves every employee - from top management to the lowest in the rung. Everyone is encouraged to come up with small improvement suggestions on a regular basis, thus ensuring that it is not a once a year, or monthly activity, but a regular activity.

At Venture Infotek 70% of the employee staff have undergone and successfully completed kaizen based improvement training.

Suggestions are not limited to a specific area such as production or marketing. Kaizen is based on making changes anywhere that improvements can be made. The Kaizen philosophy is to "do it better, make it better, and improve it even if it isn't broken, because if we don't, we can't compete with those who do."

Venture Infotek has derived a QCDS model to keep the balanced focus on Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety aspects of the process.

These continual small improvements add up to major benefits. They result in improved productivity, improved quality, better safety, faster delivery, lower costs, and greater customer satisfaction. On top of these benefits to the company, employees working in Kaizen-based companies generally find work to be easier and more enjoyable-resulting in higher employee moral and job satisfaction, and lower turnover.

B) Six Sigma in Venture Infotek is an umbrella initiative covering all business units and divisions. It was piloted so that we could maintain ourselves as the market leader through

  • Breakthrough improvement forum to sharpen the cutting edge.
  • Have our products and services meet the desired expectations
  • Cultural shift in decision making from intuition to database decision making

Venture Infotek uses the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) - as a process for breakthrough improvement. Projects are identified on the basis of the pain area under each of the Business Processes that impacts the business significantly.

The Organization is maturing to adapt the DFSS (Design for six sigma) model of this approach where in all the new projects/products will be implemented through DMADV (Define, measure, analyze, design & Verify) frame work of Six Sigma. This will lead us to error free implementation of projects and products without a delta deflection in decided objective.

  • Led by Green Belts & Black belts.
  • Assisted by Black Belt / Master Black Belt
  • Sponsored by Champions.

We have successfully completed 14 Six Sigma based improvement Projects with major contribution from 5 Green Belts, 1 Black Belt and 1 Master Black Belt Trained professionals in Venture Infotek.
